Course Description
Micro:bit is an open source hardware ARM-based embedded computer developed by the BBC computers UK. Currently Micro:bit is the biggest revolutionary product in the CS-STEM education field. Micro:bit is light weight and half of the size of a credit card yet very powerful and equipped with many inbuilt sensors like motion sensor, light sensor, touch, accelerometer, magnetic field, compass etc. Micro:bit features help to make some wonderful coding, science and robotics hands-on projects.
Key Features
Project Details
Micro:bit allows students to code and control PYTHON projects using online tools and PyCharm IDE. Students can make a lot of science and robotics projects like fire alarm, motion detector, movable vehicle, Radio Walkie talkie, calculator, touch sensors, stepCounter, heat alert, motion based Smart gate, automatic hand sanitizer etc.
Same time students will learn the basic concepts of electronics/robotics with the Python coding syntax. They will explore the Python loops, logic, operators, conditional statements, lists, arrays, functions, data types, libraries, class and object, Inheritance, file operator and some projects like calculators, space invader, Marble-rain, Shopping cart etc.
It is a good tool to start learning a new programming language with simple and cool science projects and explore AI-ML and IoT projects.
This course is available in both modes a) Pure Online b) Online with Microbit Kits
